ABOUT
Inna Kolupaeva was born artistically in 2002, though she made her first steps into the creative world when she attended to the musical school. During 7 years she was surrounded with amazing atmosphere of sounds in different forms and rhythms where she learned that subtle energy can find appropriate outlet of expression depending the context of composition.
She has made her first input in Graphic Design field in the beginning of 1999 and was continuing explore the visual possibilities till the moment when she decided to expand her knowledge in another area.
Driven by passion, she started an enriching journey as an artist from 2011.
During 2014, she has completed her artistic project “Symphony No.3 in C minor, Op. 43”, a personal mission in which she was involved for 2 years. The project included the synthesis of digital art and music.
She has participated in several exhibitions such as the “Symphony No.3 in C minor, Op. 43” in Modigliani Art Café in 2014 and the “Me and the Armenian Genocide” in the Modern Art Museum, Yerevan in 2015 with video installation called “Balance”, where she also took part in Edmond Habetian’s associated workshop.
As a participant of the “Art of Power” Competition, she was award recipient at the 2015 Art Exhibeo Competition.
In 2016 she has been participating with art installation work called “Portal” in Armenian Centre for Contemporary Experimental Art, 'New Talents 2016' Project and had the performance in Modern Art Museum with work “The Life through Mechanical Body”.
In 2017 she opened the “Traditional & Contemporary” evening of fashion in Modern Art Museum with her performance “Illuminated”.
In 2018 she has presented another interactive installation/performance called "Evolution of Spirit" in exhibition "Visible & Invisible" held by french curator Edmond Habetian in Modern Art Museum.
Later in 2019 she has an opportunity to participate in exhibition "Consciousness" as the part of ANIMA MUNDI 2019 -International Art Festival in Venice, Italy and present art works called “Consciousness” & “Illumination”. Another art work called "Phenomenon" has been presented in exhibition "A Dream" in Artist's Union, Yerevan.
During the "pandemic year", she had an opportunity to participate in exhibition of 'Arts & Crafts' in Artists's Union of Armenia with work called "Incipience of a New World".
In 2022 she had an opportunity to present her artwork series about female energy in exhibition of "Feminism Corporeal" in Cafesjian Center for the Arts held by ACSL organization.
Besides that, in 2023 she has been participating in International Festival "Gender Corpora" with performance and installation called "Woman's Power. Mantra" taking place in Modern Art Museum.
Later in 2024 she has been participating in "Pariahs: Performing Europe's Historical Memory" exhibition with several artworks "Venus Planet" & "Grandmother speaks to me" inspired by stories of craftsmanship and migration shared during community sessions with Cilician Armenians presented in Y. Charents House-Museum. It was an international collaborative project showcasing artists from Armenia, France, Greece and Slovenia across performing arts, visual arts, literature, and dance held by TAI organization.
In the beginning of 2025, she had opportunity to present her performance "For This Dance I will Take the Lead" in collaboration with Finnish Cultural Foundation and artasfoundation.
